Over two thousand residents joined the first PYRGOS AFC Community Day — a celebration of football, family, and the city the club calls home.

The heart of this football club was on full display on Sunday, as more than two thousand residents filled the Pyrgos City Park for the first-ever PYRGOS AFC Community Day.

First-team players ran coaching stations for children of all ages. Captain Nikos Stavrou and top scorer Andreas Vasileiou judged the penalty shootout competition, while the academy coaches held skills clinics throughout the afternoon. The queue for photographs with the squad stretched around the park — and every single fan got their picture.

The event also launched the club's community partnership programme, which will bring free weekly football sessions to five neighbourhoods across the city, along with school visits and a walking football initiative for older residents.

"A club is not the stadium, and it is not the trophies," said team manager Katerina Moraiti, who organised the event. "It is the people. Days like today are why PYRGOS AFC exists."

The next Community Day is already being planned. One city. One team. One dream.

Built on Passion. Driven by Glory.
